Next door neighbor's Christmas Light Show

Fun

My next door neighbor, Darren Vader, just sent me some video of his Christmas light show. "Light show?" You ask... Well, "Christmas lights" just doesn't cut it. It is seriously amazing. The contrast between his house and the little string of lights on mine to the left is comical.  He sent a description of all the components in his own words:

So, this is what we've been up to for the past month or so - thought we'd share with you with the hope that my complete insanity might bring a little joy by forcing at least an "oh dear god' kinda smile :)

The following are a few choice video clips (although none of them do the situation any real justice - it's much more impressive in person) of our house this holiday season.

Vital stats:

- over 10,000 lights
- 10 strobe lights
- virtual snow machine made of a rotating disco ball
- more than one 15 amp circuit
- 2 months in the making
- 1 virtual santa clause (he's in the upper right hand window which is really hard to see in the videos, but has been the big hit live)
- 14 synchronized christmas hits
- 1 FM transmitter broadcasting on 107.3 FM
- 1 high power wireless speaker system
- hundreds of smiling faces
- longest line of cars at any one time to date: 4 with expectiations of hitting 20 by weeks end...

So without further delay... on with the show:

TSO Carol of the bells

Jingle Bells - Brian Setzer

Still wanting more? I have posted the rest of the videos here.

I haven't seen the show all the way through... it's too cold to stand out there! LOL It's funny though, there are more and more cars each night.

LOL I can't take credit. My house is the very static looking little string of lights to the left of that house. Every once in a while a breeze will make my green icicles move a little, but that is about as dynamic as mine gets! :D

Just a quick note on the music I used with the light show - it's a collection in totla of various tracks so If you want to know one specifically I;d need to know the title you are asking about - but generally speaking there are a few trakcs from Transiberian Orchestra (Nutrcrack - THe Mad Russian) and Wizards of Winter - A little Brian Setzer Orchestra version of Jingle Bells, A Mannheim Steamroller verision of Silent Night, A David Foster version of Carol of the Bells... Most people ask about the Transiberian Orchestra stuff - which can mostly be found on the album "The Lost Christmas Eve" or "Christmas Eve and Other Stories". Great stuff on both!
