TV: 'I GET IT!!!' - What did Tony Soprano mean?

TV

WARNING:  Sopranos spoilers are contained in this entry.

So I had let my DVR recordings pile up for a couple of weeks, and go a double-header of The Sopranos last night.  I successfully avoided the spoilers about....

SOPRANOS SPOILER AHEAD.  IF YOU HAVE NOT SEEN THE MOST RECENT EPISODE BEWARE!

...Christopher dying!!!  That blew me away.  It was weird though, that much like Tony did in the show, I found that I almost felt relieved that he was gone.  He is a character you end up caring about despite his obvious bad traits.  However you end up almost painfully watching him in this self destructive cycle of pulling it together just before falling apart again, usually taking new people with him.  It seems that he never went down alone and someone was always left damaged (or worse) from him poising their life.

I missed it in the show, but apparently when Tony looked down in the car after the accident, he saw needles and a bag of coke.  I saw the baby seat, but I somehow missed the drugs entirely.  In hindsight, Tony's decision makes a lot more sense.  With Christopher's inane blabbing to the screen writer about "all the things that he knew", it seemed like only a matter of time before he either purposefully flipped or compromised everyone anyway.

So as the show carried on, there was just more and more evidence that Tony has become completely devoid of feeling aside from feelings of jealousy (jealousy of the other mobster's kids, jealous of the Vegas girl mentioning Christopher...)  I was commenting to my wife that they do such a good job transferring the uncomfortable air of discontent to the screen.  You almost feel that anxiety that Tony seems to walk around with.  Then after much of the show underscoring Tony's lack of soul, in the most unlikely circumstances, that being on peyote in the middle of the desert after tripping and watching the sunrise, he stands up and shouts at the top of his lungs:

"I GET IT!!!!!"

Has Tony just regained his soul?

What is in store for the last 3 episodes?

Any predictions?

I'm pretty sure he said "I did it" (as in kill Christopher) but I could be wrong.

Well, that is interesting. Other people I talked to heard it like I did, and one review I read heard "I get it!". But after posting this I found that there is definitely some disagreement on whether it was "I did it!" or "I get it!".

Time to go internet hunting for the transcript. :)
